Knife Accessories

Leather sheaths, sharpening stones and knife rolls.

A hand-forged knife is only as good as its upkeep — this collection covers the sheaths, stones and care items that protect your knives and keep them sharp. Leather knife sheaths are hand-stitched from full-grain leather and sized to fit our fixed-blade knives; sharpening stones and whetstones let you maintain a Damascus or high-carbon edge at home instead of sending it out.

Damascus and high-carbon steel both respond best to sharpening on a stone rather than a pull-through sharpener, which can strip material unevenly from a hardened edge. A basic two-stone setup (coarse and fine grit) covers routine maintenance for every knife in our catalog.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hold the blade at a consistent angle (typically 15-20 degrees per side) against the stone, and draw the edge across in smooth strokes from heel to tip, alternating sides evenly. Start on a coarse grit to reset the edge, then move to a fine grit to polish it.

Soak the stone in water for 10-15 minutes, then draw the blade across at a consistent angle, alternating sides evenly. Work from a coarser grit (400-600) to reset the edge, then a finer grit (1000+) to polish it.

Full-grain leather is the standard choice for a knife sheath because it's the strongest, most abrasion-resistant leather layer and holds its shape around a blade over years of use.
