We publish real specs for every piece — layer count, HRC hardness, steel composition and handle material — and each knife ships with a certificate noting its serial, steel and maker. If you don't see the exact blade shape, steel pattern or handle material you want, our custom-order form lets you specify blade length, steel, handle material and engraving for a made-to-order piece.

Real Damascus steel is made by forge-welding multiple layers of different steel alloys together, then folding and hammering the billet repeatedly to create a laminated structure that's ground and etched to reveal a distinctive wavy pattern. This differs from acid-etched or laser-printed "Damascus-look" blades that only mimic the pattern on a single piece of steel.
