This 8-inch Damascus skinning knife with a gut hook combines a visibly layered Damascus blade with a polished cream bone handle, set off by a stainless bolster, black-and-white spacers and brass pins.

The compact gut hook is built for careful opening work during field dressing, while the skinner edge handles hide and game preparation. This is the bone-handle version, intentionally distinct from our American flag handle gut hook knife and from other gut-hook models with different handle materials or proportions — each handmade piece also has individual character in its Damascus etching and bone finish.

Wipe the blade clean and dry after use, apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil, and store it dry in the leather sheath only once the knife is fully dry.
